The safety & wellbeing of your child is our top priority. As part of our Child Protection Policy, we are committed to maintaining a child-safe environment that minimises any risks of abuse, harm, or neglect.
Our staff are trained as mandatory reporters under the Children & Community Services Act 2004 (WA) and continuously stay updated on child protection laws and training.
Our dedication to child safety includes adopting and complying with the National Principles of Child Safe Organisations and the Reportable Conduct Scheme, ensuring we are equipped to prevent & respond to any allegations of child abuse.
Our team are carefully selected through a screening process, holding relevant qualifications for their roles & responsibilities, validated Working With Children Checks & National Police Clearances and embodying the qualities required to provide excellent education, care and supervision for your child.
Furthermore we conduct regular background checks to maintain utmost safety, including a renewed National Police Clearance (annually) and regular verification of each staff members current Working With Children Check.
All staff are extensively trained in first aid, including asthma, anaphylaxis & CPR, which is kept current & up-to-date.
Early Learning Rituals uses CCTV to monitor the physical environment. It provides protection and security for children in care & our staff, assisting in assuring families that their children are in a safe environment. We believe the use of CCTV assists in our risk management strategies to prevent, identify and mitigate risks to children.
We have zero tolerance for inappropriate behaviour towards children & any breach of child protection law. Any concerns or allegations will be promptly responded to & taken seriously.
We request you contact management if you have any concerns or questions.
Communication
Families & educators will collaborate to support the child's learning and development. Open and effective communication will foster mutual respect and trust. We encourage a positive partnership where families share valuable information about their child to enhance their daily experience.
Meeting With Educators Or Management
Meaningful discussions with educators are best arranged through scheduled phone calls or meetings, as drop-off and pick-up times may not be conducive for in-depth conversations. This approach ensures focused attention and thoughtful consideration of decisions.
Respecting Our Educators & Staff
It is paramount that all stakeholders are treated with utmost kindness and respect. This ethos extends to our dedicated educators and staff, our children, and other families.
Resolving Concerns Respectfully
We promote open dialogue and value respectful communication. Concerns are addressed collaboratively at a scheduled time, following our Dealing With Complaints Policy.
CCS Obligations
Families acknowledge that certain matters relating to Child Care Subsidy and payment timing, fall beyond the Service's control. Ensuring accurate information to Centrelink and promptly notifying any changes is the families responsibility. Timely fee payments and compliance with CCS requirements are expected. Families are required to apply for CCS via myGov, provide all required documentation, establish a Complying Written arrangement, and confirm the enrolment via myGov for CCS entitlements to begin. CCS entitlements cannot be applied until this occurs.
Personal Phone Use & Cameras
Just like our staff, families are expected to adhere to our “No Phones on Floor Policy.” Families will refrain from use of their phones in areas designated for children. If they are required to use their phone, they are kindly asked to step away from the floor & use their device in areas away from children (Foyer, Parking Area). Families are requested to not take photographs of other children without permission of the child’s parent.
We value a respectful, inclusive & supportive environment for all members of our community. Our Code of Conduct Policy promotes honest communication, professionalism & ethical behaviour. Our Code of Conduct establishes the standards for all employees at Early Learning Rituals. Staff are committed to adhere to the ethical responsibilities of early childhood professionals, as outlined in the Early Childhood Australia's Code of Ethics.
Our Policies & Procedures..
We expect our staff & families to adhere to our policies and procedures at all times to ensure we maintain compliance and abide by the Education & Care National Law and Regulations, as well as other legislation, including Family Assistance Law.
